Great Northern Warehouse just off Deansgate is definitely becoming another popular city centre hang out. The team behind Alvarium in the Northern Quarter have just announced that they are soon to open The Mews Bar and Charcuterie.
The Mews’ cosy indoor bar will join the popular 3 Hands Deli and the brand new Butchers Quarter premises, to create a new hot spot for lovers of cheese and wine. It also has a huge outside terrace area which makes a fantastic suntrap on warmer days.
The bar and its experienced team have curated an exciting wine list and a selection of seasonal cocktails to make the most of fresh British ingredients from local suppliers. Enjoy fresh, fruity and refreshing drinks over the summer months, including a strawberry and raspberry pornstar martini with deeper autumnal flavours being introduced as the seasons progress.
Over the next few months, after settling into their new home, The Mews Bar and Charcuterie will be developing a menu of British small plates to match perfectly with a few glasses of wine during the afternoon or evening. The opening menu sees a collaboration with The Crafty Cheese Man who has provided a range of charcuterie boards and cheese selections for the perfect food and drink pairings.
"Following the success and popularity of Alvarium in the Northern Quarter, we’ve been given a great opportunity to open an exciting new concept over on Deansgate,” says owner Braddan Quayle. “The Mews Bar and Charcuterie will be looking to build on the foundation we’ve laid in the Northern Quarter of top quality, seasonal cocktails, a banging wine list and crowd pleasing beer selection.
“At first we will be offering sociable nibbles, such as cheese and charcuterie boards, whipped goats cheese and mascarpone with chilli jam, all of which is supplied by @thecraftycheeseman. Our menu will evolve over the year with a hope of offering small British plates.....so keep your eyes out for that!”
The Mews opens this Saturday 17th at 12pm at Deansgate Mews
