Bistro 1847 to relaunch with new décor & new menu

1 July 2014

Bistro 1847 entered the Manchester dining scene early 2011 and became renowned for modern, vegetarian cuisine. It has since opened in Birmingham city centre and was voted best vegetarian restaurant outside London 2014 by Cook Vegetarian magazine.

Currently undergoing a full refurbishment, Bistro 1847 will launch with its new décor alongside a new menu format moving away from the traditional a la carte offering. On offer will also be a full selection of summer cocktails, wines, spirits and beers to complement its new bar area.

Menus created by Development Chef Alex Claridge will be based around its main grazing, sharing & exploring menu of tapas size plates. Also working with ‘Manchester Veg People’ on the supply of local foraged ingredients to offer a 4 course ‘taste of 1847’ menu at £20pp Monday to Thursday and a £36pp 6 course Friday & Saturday menu. Bistro 1847 will also offer a small range of main course dishes plus a sharing dessert menu.

Founder & Managing Director, Damien Davenport says “I’m thrilled with the modern Scandinavian design we’re now using throughout our restaurants plus this modern approach to dining is a first for the vegetarian dining scene. I’m also pleased to be adding a full bar area ideal for after work cocktails, plus overhauling our lunch offering to be more suited to the thousands of local office workers”

Bistro 1847 will launch its new look and offering from Friday July 4th.
