Life drawing session with naked Andrew Nutter

1 October 2012

Jamie Oliver was the first Naked Chef on our TV screens when he launched his debut TV series in 1998. But Manchester Food and Drink Festival are taking this idea that little bit further in Albert Square tomorrow.

At this charity fundraiser, meet a real-life chef in the buff (yes, you are really reading this) at the first ever Life Drawing Master Class at the Festival Hub in Albert Square.

Conducted under the strict guidance of experts from Nexus Café (who host bi-monthly life drawing classes), this special drawing session has a foodie twist.

Experienced tutor

The class will be lead by an experienced tutor who will offer tips and expertise on how to draw the human form in a variety of ways.

A brief talk will be followed by the chance to draw two life models. This should help you get into the swing of things, before you tuck (metaphorically speaking of course) into a main course of much loved chef Andrew Nutter, the chef patron of Nutters in Rochdale.

Famous Northern Quarter stationers, Fred Aldous, will be on hand to provide the drawing materials required to create your own masterpieces (you can bring along your own sketch pads if you prefer) and Nexus will be providing cakes and refreshments.

Tue 2 Oct, Festival Hub, Albert Square, 7-9pm, £5, mfdfthenakedchef.eventbrite.com. Part of the ticket price goes to charities Hospitality Action and Nexus Community Art Cafe.
