Manchester Union Brewery’s next supperclub is a celebration of autumn with Bread Flower

12 October 2021 by Deanna Thomas

After the success of their recent modern Brazilian-British fusion supperclubManchester Union Brewery has announced the next partner for its exciting monthly supper club collaboration.

On Thursday 21st October there will be a special autumnal themed dining event hosted by renowned bagel bakery and florist pop-up Bread Flower. Based in the taproom that neighbours the brew house, the brew and bakery specialists will be serving a menu of delicious food to complement the lagers made just metres away.

The three-course ‘ferments and flowers’ menu of autumnal flavours will feature warm dishes that celebrate pickled and preserved food garnished with edible flowers. There will be sharing boards of freshly baked sourdough bread, locally sourced cheeses and pickles, as well as foods cooked in beer and more playful takes on seasonal and preserved produce.

Created by long-term friends Maya Black and Scarlett Jamieson, Bread Flower was created over lockdown to combine their love of sourdough baking and flower arranging. Their deliveries of bagels and ‘schmears’ delivered with beautiful bouquets soon became popular across the city. Now based at Kampus, they pair are known for their New York style sourdough bagels, toppings and seasonal blooms.

The event will take place from 6:30pm to 10pm. Tickets are £45 plus booking fee and will include a welcome drink, starter, main, and dessert all carefully matched with beers from the brewery. With award-winning lager available all evening, guests can also buy additional drinks.

Tickets to the event are available now via Skiddle here. Spaces are limited so tickets should be booked in advance.
