MANCHESTER’S HIGHEST EVER BLACKOUT DINNER TO BE HELD AT 20 STORIES

28 March 2019

TAKE the plunge into darkness as 20 Stories unveils a special Blackout Dinner on Sunday, April 7. The only source of light? Thousands of candles and the lights of the Manchester skyline.

ToM thinks it’s a fascinating test on how vision might affect our sense of taste. It certainly doesn’t smack of hardship. Guests will be welcomed at 7pm for a glass of Moët & Chandon with a four course dinner to follow with a selection of matching wines an option.

New head chef Brian Hughson’s special menu will feature saddle of Cumbrian lamb, grilled hispi cabbage, pancetta and coco beans and a luxurious dessert of lemon chiboust, white chocolate, whipped lemon jelly and lemon butterscotch sauce.

Psychologists have been advocating dining in the dark for the ultimate taste experience for many years. On April 7 the proof will be in the pudding.
