A GAME themed dinner by two Michelin chefs at the top of their game – it has to be one of the highlights of the Manchester Food and Drink Festival

So stick in your diary Tuesday, October 4, for the exclusive Nacho & Friends dinner at Iberica, where exec chef Manzano welcomes Mark Poynton, Head Chef at Michelin one star Alimentum in Cambridge. The pair will work together to produce a collaborative six course menu, with paired wines, all for £75 per person.

Poynton is no stranger to the North West, having begun his career as a part-time waiter in the Queen Hotel, Chester, then after graduating to its kitchens he later worked for 18 months at Juniper in Altrincham under the legendary Paul Kitching.

A contestant on Series Nine of Great British Menu, he spent seven years with Daniel Clifford at two-star Midsummer House in Cambridge. Alimentum won its Michelin star under the guidance of Mark Poynton in 2012 and has retained it over the last three years.

The chefs will prepare a casual tapas menu showcasing and comparing game traditions from Spain and England, giving guests the chance to explore the culinary delights of game that are only available from August through to January.

£75 a head; book by email at [email protected]. MFDF  2016 runs from September 29-October 10. Full details here
