A new Vietnamese-style restaurant and bar has opened in Manchester city centre. Namii Kitchen & Cocktails has taken over the old Blackhouse Grill site on New York Street.
The menu features creative South-East Asian classics including Pho, Bahn Mi and Vietnamese summer rolls. Namii’s brunch menu will run daily from 10am featuring classic dishes with an Asian influence such as Eggs Royale with a honey miso dressing. Every Friday and Saturday Namii will offer a variety of live music and DJ’s to accompany their evening menus.
Alongside their fusion food offering Namii will also have an innovative cocktail menu which has been inspired by Vietnamese mythology and folklore. One of their signature cocktails include ‘The Horse of Iron’ of Ming River Baiju, Roku Gin, Ginkgo Kernel and Wasabi Syrup. Namii Kitchen & Cocktails will also offer an extensive wine and sake selection alongside their signature cocktail menu.
With sustainability in mind, Namii has been working with brands such as ecoSPIRITS to eliminate packaging waste and reduce their overall carbon footprint.
Starting in January 2022, the venue will host monthly residencies focussing on renowned spirit and wine brands; the first will be centred around Scotch whisky. Namii Kitchen & Cocktails will also host four ticketed events each month from sensory tastings to special tasting menus with paired drinks.
“We can’t wait to open our doors in Manchester,” says owner and managing director Terence Lee. “The city has established itself as one of the UK’s most exciting food destinations over the past decade and we’re thrilled to be able to add to the line-up.”
“Namii Kitchen & Cocktails is a new, bold concept, blending authentic Vietnamese food, flavours and technique with modern service, style and setting,” added John Clossick, sales and marketing manager. “Food is the centre of so many social occasions, and we want the restaurant to be somewhere friends can get together and catch up over a great dining experience.”
Namii Kitchen & Cocktails will open on Saturday 6th November on New York St, Manchester M1 4BD. Bookings are now being taken.
