Scottish Indian fusion restaurant Roti opens its third venue in Didsbury

5 May 2022 by Deanna Thomas

Roti, a Scottish / Indian fusion restaurant (yes you read that right) has now taken over the kitchen at The Boiler Room on Burton Road with a restaurant upstairs to open in the coming months.

This follows Roti’s other successful sites on Barlow Moor Road in Chorlton and in the newly revamped Stanley Square, Sale.

Roti’s menu takes some Scottish classics and gives them an Indian makeover. Signature dishes include ‘Mince & Tatties, ‘Mini Fish & Masala Potatoes’, ‘Haggis Pakora’, ‘Scotch Egg’ and of course some excellent curries. Using so many herbs, spices and cooking techniques found in Indian cooking, their creations are offered in smaller dishes for sharing and social eating. You’ll also find a wide range of delicious vegetarian and vegan dishes on the menu.

Of course, they also serve the Scottish delicacy ‘deep fried Mars Bar’ (in Chorlton and Sale only) but have gone one better with a special Indian spiced batter – don’t knock it ‘til you’ve tried it.

On top of all the amazing food, Roti also offers a large array of drinks and delicious cocktails in its restaurants including the ‘Irn-Bru’ Negroni. Here’s a tip, if you’re visiting @theboilerroomwd in Didsbury for drinks, Roti’s ‘ProperDoms’ are the perfect snack.

Roti at The Boiler Room on 222 Burton Rd, West Didsbury, Manchester M20 2LW

Opens at 5pm on May 5th.

Opening hours: Thursday & Friday 5pm-10pm, Sat/ Sun 12pm -10pm

Walk ins only at Boiler Room. The full menu and cocktails are available in Chorlton and Sale which are both available to book.
