Sprout tempura and snowflake cocktails are on the menu this Xmas at Shoryu Ramen

If the Christmas Market sausages and slightly overpriced mulled wine in Piccadilly Gardens aren’t floating your boat, you might want to give your taste buds something different. Head over to Shoryu Ramen If you fancy experiencing some comforting Japanese cuisine this December.

The authentic Japanese noodle restaurant has added a few seasonal dishes to create a delicious three course Christmas menu for just £23 and you can toast the season with a festive drink for an extra £4. The festive set menu will be available from 10th - 24th December. 


To start, choose what could arguably described as the Asian answer to pigs in blankets - Char Siu BBQ Pork Belly Bao Buns. Or if you prefer a plant-based option, enjoy buns stuffed with comforting Pumpkin Croquettes or Shoryu’s new Brussel sprout tempura.

No need to mess with a classic for the main event. Diners can choose between three comforting dishes including Shoryu’s Signature Ganso Tonkotsu Ramen, a rich 12-hour pork broth ramen that comes topped with char siu bbq pork belly, nitamago Burford Brown egg, kikurage mushrooms, spring onion, red ginger and nori seaweed. 


If you’re hoping for a white Christmas, try their vegan White Natural Ramen made with Shoryu’s unique tonyu soy milk, miso, konbu & shiitake broth, atsuage fried tofu, kikurage mushrooms, menma bamboo shoots, spring onion, tender broccoli and nori seaweed. 

Miso Wafu Chicken Ramen, is a similar dish topped with Goosnargh chicken karaage, kikurage mushrooms, nori seaweed, spring onion and ginger.

And because green is definitely a Christmas colour, finish off with some Matcha Cheesecake or two Japanese Ice Cream Mochi for dessert in flavours including matcha, mango and passion, Hong Kong milk tea or cookie dough.


Shoryu’s Christmas drink specials include tipples like the Nattsu Snowflake Cocktail made with Suntory Haku Vodka, Frangelico, Maraschino, finished with Merchant's Heart Ginger Ale, or the Mistletoe Aka Ginger Mocktail consisting of Merchant's Heart Ginger Ale and Grenadine syrup. The Asahi Super Dry Beer (5.2%) 330ml or a classic glass of Prosecco is also available.
