If you’ve ever fancied becoming a spirits connoisseur there’s a brand new spirits tasting experience coming to town.
The ‘Taste the Distillery’ experience launches on 22 October 2021 and will allow visitors the opportunity to taste and learn more about six different spirits, including the multi award-winning Manchester Gin.
The new visitor experience will take place every weekend in the Spirits Tasting Room, housed within The Spirit of Manchester Distillery’s stunning Grade-II listed railway arches on Watson Street in Manchester City Centre.
The experience has been created to offer something new to loyal customers and something for spirit lovers to enjoy. Guests will be able to try One-Eyed Rebel Rum (read more about that HERE), Manchester Spirit Vodka and two favourites from their popular gin range including Manchester Gin Raspberry Infused and Manchester Gin Hacienda – all of which is produced in the centre of the city.
“Our brand-new tasting experience brings to life our six years in the industry so far,” says Seb Heeley, Master Distiller at The Spirit of Manchester Distillery and co-founder of Manchester Gin.
“We’ve spent those years perfecting the art of distillation across multiple spirits, and while it started with gin, we’re exploring exciting new products that we’re looking forward to sharing with our customers.
“A range of spirits - rather than a range of gins - means that there will always be something in the experience for everyone, and you’ll hopefully always come out of it learning something new.”
Guests will receive a welcome drink on arrival, and can choose from vodka, rum, or gin, before starting their tour of the distillery. They will be able to get an insight into what goes into the spirit making process, followed by a tutored tasting of The Spirit of Manchester Distillery spirit range. Here guests can learn about the different flavour profiles, characteristics and get a taste of what the team is so passionate about.
The Taste the Distillery Experience will take approximately 45-60 minutes and is priced at £25pp. All distillery visitors will also receive 10% off in the distillery shop and at its cocktail lounge, Three Little Words.
To Spirit of Manchester Distillery experiences can be booked online HERE and are available every Friday at 2:30pm & Saturdays at 12:30pm for up to 20 people throughout October and November. More time slots on Fridays and Saturdays will be available to book throughout December.
Tailored experiences including full-venue takeovers are also available for private bookings.
