Update from ISCA Wines - from deli to wine bar

21 October 2022 by Deanna Thomas

This week, Isca, the popular Levenshulme natural wine bar and deli, is relaunching as a natural wine bar, shop and restaurant. To move the focus from being a shop they have added more seating to accommodate sit in diners, but they will continue to offer organic takeaway lunches, single origin coffee, counter bakes using regenerative grains and organic pickles, chutneys and jams.

Isca’s menu centres around seasonal vegetables and British and Irish farmhouse cheeses. Everything is prepared on-site in their small open kitchen, to maximise flavours and showcase ingredients at their best.

They work with local growers, UK farms, forage locally and grow a small amount of produce themselves at Platt Fields Market Garden. Snacks and plates have been designed to share and go perfectly with their selection of natural wines, local beers and Isca made soft drinks.

On Sundays there’ll be a different menu focussing on cheese, carbs and cosy vibes with pies, potato gratins and British + Irish cheeses boards. They might even crack open a special magnum or two to offer by the glass. The wines served at Isca come from small producers from around Europe that they have worked with for many years.

Isca want to celebrate the labour, the soil and the growers. Their whole ethos is about connecting with the source and the person behind it and they want to continue to share their stories with the people who drink their wines.

Bookings are available via Isca Wines and walk-ins are always welcome at 825 Stockport Rd, Levenshulme, Manchester M19 3PN.
